Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur (Flight from Assam – Approx. 3 hrs)

Your Rajasthan tour starts as you arrive at Jaipur Airport. Arrive at your hotel and have a rest after the travel. Visit Birla Mandir, Albert Hall Museum, and busy Johari Bazaar. If you have time in the evening, you can experience the Rajasthani dinner and folk dance at Chokhi Dhani, which is a cultural village that represents the heritage of the state. Overnight stay in Jaipur.  

 

Day 2 – Jaipur Sightseeing Tour.

Begin sightseeing in the Pink City after breakfast. Go to Amber Fort, a magnificent site fitted with artistic Hindu-like buildings and an elephant ride to the top of the hill. Next, visit Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO site of an astronomical observatory. Conclude your day at Nahargarh Fort, where you are likely to have magnificent views of the sunset over the skyline of Jaipur. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

 

Day 3: Jaipur to Ajmer, Pushkar (approx. 260 km / 5 hrs)

Breakfast and then leave for Ajmer, which also has the well-known Ajmer Sharif Dargah, a holy Muslim shrine in India. Then proceed to the peaceful city of Pushkar, which has the Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake. Wander through the colourful bazaars, tasting the handicrafts and ethnic jewellery. Day 4: Pushkar to Jodhpur (Approx. 250 km / 5 hrs)

Have breakfast and leave to see the Blue City of Jodhpur, the city of Rajasthan. Day 5: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer (approx. 280 km / 5 hrs)

Have breakfast and go to Jaisalmer, the Golden City of Rajasthan. Buy into your hotel or desert camp and relax. See the beautiful Gadisar Lake and then the complex Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, which features the fine architecture. In the evening, have an adventurous camel safari at Sam Sand Dunes and bulky dance performances under the sky of the desert. Spending the night in a desert camp.

 

Day 6: Jaisalmer to Bikaner (Approx. 330 km / 6 hrs)

Head to Bikaner, a city that has its history and rich culture. Explore the grand Junagarh Fort and Lalgarh Palace, as well as the rare Karni Mata Temple (Rat Temple) in Deshnok. Taste the well-known Bikaneri Bhujia and local sweets, and head back to your hotel. Overnight stay in Bikaner.

 

Day 7: Bikaner to Mandawa (Approx. 290 km / 5 hrs)

Then go to Mandawa, the small town which is the Open Art Gallery of Rajasthan. The region is known to be full of highly painted havelis, each of which is painted with elaborate frescoes. Visit Murmuria Haveli, Goenka Haveli and Hanuman Prasad Haveli, where you can enjoy the magnificent wall paintings depicting Rajput grandeur. Mandawa is a picturesque story of village Rajasthan. Overnight stay in Mandawa.

 

Day 8: Mandawa to Jaipur (Approx. 250 km / 5 hrs) Departure.

Take a break after breakfast, and then drive back to Jaipur and then continue onwards on your journey or flight home to Assam. Provided there is time, visit Bapu Bazaar to do last-minute shopping.
