Travel to Jaipur by direct train or flight from Assam. Check into hotel and start discovery with Amber Fort, a palace famous for its massive ramparts, peaceful courtyards, and Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace).
Afternoon
Drive to City Palace, a Mughal and Rajput language-of-architecture palace. Enjoy a Rajasthani thali lunch at a restaurant prior to visit Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory of massive stone instruments to view the universe.
Evening
Visit Hawa Mahal, the famous Palace of Winds, and shop for handicrafts and textiles at Johari Bazaar. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Morning
Drive to Ajmer (2.5 hours) and visit the sacred Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Feel the devotional atmosphere and offer your prayers.
Afternoon
Drive to Pushkar (30 minutes) and see the Brahma Temple, one of the only temples dedicated to Lord Brahma. Have a scrumptious local lunch and walk around the holy Pushkar Lake.
Evening
Walk through the colorful Pushkar bazaars famous for Rajasthani handicrafts and souvenirs. Back to Jaipur by road and overnight stay.
Morning
Drive to Bikaner (5 hours) and check in to your hotel. Begin the day with a tour of the picturesque Junagarh Fort, boasting pretty palaces, temples, and courtyards.
Afternoon
Stop by the Karni Mata Temple, commonly called the Rat Temple, an awesome pilgrim place where one thousand or more rats are considered deities. Indulge in a classic Bikaneri lunch with all its famous Bhujia and sweets.
Evening
Go to the National Research Centre on Camels, where you can learn all about camel breeding and even take a ride on a camel. Return to Jaipur by road after a day filled with material for your next Assam trip.
