Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Amritsar to Jaipur – Welcome to the Pink City

Begin your tour at Amritsar and then move on to Jaipur, the colorful city of Rajasthan. Upon arrival, you should check into your hotel and have a rest. Later, in the afternoon, sightsee the City Palace, which is a combination of Mughal and Rajput architecture. Then, discover Jantar Mantar, the royal observatory, and enjoy the views of Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), one of the most popular places in Jaipur.

During the evening, go to Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar to get handicrafts, jewelry, and traditional textiles. Savor Rajasthani delicacies and then go to sleep.

Overnight stay: Jaipur.

 

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing

There is Amber Fort (on a hill overlooking the Lake of Maota) after breakfast. Ride on an elephant or jeep to the entrance of the fort and look around its courtyards, Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) and royal chambers.

Visit later Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort and have a panoramic view of the city. You can enjoy their culture and conclude your day visit at Chokhi Dhani, a cultural village resort where you can enjoy Rajasthani folk dances, puppet shows, and local eats.

Overnight stay: Jaipur.

 

Day 3: Jaipur to Bikaner (Approx. 330 km/6 hours)

In the morning, after breakfast, we are going to Bikaner, an old desert city with its powerful fortifications and royal beauty. Upon arrival, visit Junagarh Fort, a grandiose construction that was constructed in the 16th century, including palaces, museums, and temples.

The next visit is the Karni Mata Temple located at Deshnok, also referred to as the Rat Temple, where thousands of rats are said to be holy. In the evening, visit the ancient city market to enjoy the popular Bhujia and Rasgulla from Bikaner.

Overnight stay: Bikaner.

 

Day 4: Bikaner to Jaisalmer (Approx. 330 km / 6 hours)

Breakfast. A day trip through the desert is offered to the city of Jaisalmer, the Golden City. The architecture in the city is made up of yellow sandstone, which shines very beautifully under the sun. Upon arrival, get into your hotel and relax.

During the evening visit Gadisar Lake, where one can relax on a boat and see the sunset over the city. The other places to explore include Patwon Ki Haveli, Nathmal Ki Haveli, and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, all of which have carvings and detailed crafts done in stone.

Overnight stay: Jaisalmer.

 

Day 5: Jaisalmerβ€”Desert Safari and Cultural Evening.

Begin your day by visiting the Jaisalmer Fort, which is among the very few active worlds that house families within their walls. Timber the temples, small streets, and colorful stores of the fort.

Travel to Sam Sand Dunes in the afternoon, about 40 km away. Go on a camel safari or jeep adventure in the golden desert and a beautiful sunset. During the night, visit a desert camp and watch a Rajasthani folk dance and music show as you have a traditional dinner under the stars.

Overnight stay: Desert Camp, Jaisalmer.

 

Day 6: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (approx. 285 km / 6 hours)

A day out in the morning to Jodhpur, the city of blue walls, also called the blue city. Drive up to the huge Mehrangarh Fort located on a rocky hill and providing spectacular scenery of the city. Within the fort, there are royal palaces, artifacts, and galleries with the Rajput history.

Then, go to Jaswant Thada, which is a marble cenotaph that was constructed in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Conclude your day in Umaid Bhawan Palace, parts of which are museums. Shop in Clock Tower Market in the evening, where they sell handicrafts and spices.

Overnight stay: Jodhpur.

 

Day 7: Udaipur (approx. 260 km / 5 hours) to Jodhpur.

Breakfast, then leave for Udaipur, the City of Lakes. On the way, there are the Ranakpur Jain Temples, a quiet complex of all-marble construction, whose main hall has 1,444 exquisitely sculpted pillars.

When you arrive at Udaipur, go on a boat ride on Lake Pichola to observe the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir on the lake. During the evening, visit the local bazaars or just go to a cafe near the lakes.

Overnight stay: Udaipur.

 

Day 8: Udaipur Sightseeing and Return to Amritsar.

You can spend your morning visiting City Palace, one of the greatest and most beautiful complexes of palaces in India. The palace also has panoramic lake views as well as city views. Then proceed to Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari, which is a royal garden constructed to accommodate princesses and their friends.

When sightseeing is complete, start your flight or train journey back to Amritsar with the luggage of a royal and colorful journey across the state of Rajasthan.
