Do Dham Yatra Tour Itinerary in Detail:
Day 1: Haridwar Arrive & Barkot Transfer
On arrival in Haridwar, you will meet and greet by our escorting tour manager who will assist you with a drive to Barkot via Mussoorie. On the way, visit Kempty falls (where you can enjoy lunch at any of the best restaurants). Afterward, continue driving straight to Barkot and get transferred to the hotel. The remaining day is at leisure. Stay overnight at Barkot.
Barkot is the most famous for its scenic natural surroundings. this place is beautifully located at the confluence of the Yamuna and many rivers. Barkot offers breathtaking views of the snowcapped mountains of Bandar Poonch. It is also a major stopover on the way to Yamunotri and Gangotri among the four Char Dham Yatra Package.
Day 2: Yamunotri Excursion
This morning enjoy a drive to Jankichatti from where your trek will start to Yamunotri. You may either enjoy a walk or ride a horse or hike by Doli (at your own cost). The trek passes through verdant green valleys, a profusion of conifers, cacti, rhododendrons, and many different species of Himalayan Shrubs.
At Yamunotri, there is a hot water kund where you can dip raw rice and cook it within a few minutes. Devotees take this cooked rice home as “Parsad”. Near the temple, offer prayer to Divya Shila. After taking a bath in Jamunabai Kund’s warm water and having a darshan of Yamunaji. Afterward, return to Barkot via Jankichatti for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Uttarkashi Transfer
This day enjoys a drive to Uttarkashi and visit the Vishwanath Temple. After arriving, check in to the hotel and take a rest. The remaining day is at leisure.
Uttarkashi is home to several ashrams and religious temples. The name of the town reflects similarity to the location of Varanasi. Similar to that, the town of Uttarkashi is located on the Ganges. On the confluence of two rivers, Varuna and Asi has a ghat called Manikarnika Ghat and has a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva (Kashi Vishwanath Temple).
After sightseeing, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 4: Gangotri Excursion
This morning, enjoy a drive to Gangotri while making an en-route visit to Gangnani to take a holy dip in Garam Kund. Further, enjoy a drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. Harsil is beautifully adorned with natural surroundings and majestic views of Deodar trees and mountains.
On arrival at Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is known as Bhagirathi at its origin. Attend pooja and darshan at the temple and then relax for some time in its stunning surroundings. Later return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Haridwar Transfer via Rishikesh
Today, enjoy a drive to Rishikesh – the place of sages which is a celebrated spiritual town resting on the bank of the Ganga River. This city is stunningly surrounded by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas on the three sides. Arrive and check in to the hotel to freshen up.
Later, visit the famous temples of Rishikesh by a Taxi Rental Service which takes you to Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram. Stay overnight in Rishikesh.
Day 6: Departure from Haridwar
This day marks an end to this spiritual journey. After breakfast, proceed a drive to railway station or airport to board a flight for onward journey.
