About Chittorgarh

Opulent Chittorgarh Fort was once the capital of the world’s longest-ruling Mewar dynasty for about eight centuries. It is considered the best UNESCO World Heritage Site which is one of the largest forts in Rajasthan. The fort experienced the scene of many tragic events during its time, especially during the era of Maharawal Ratan Singh in the 14^th century. The history of the fort can be traced back to the 7^th century when Chitrangad Mori of the Maurya dynasty is said to have laid its foundation.

There are many beautiful places to see in Chittor, of which Chittorgarh Fort, Padmini Palace, Kalika Mata Temple, Gau Mukh Kund, Maha Sati, and Rana Kumbha’s palace are the most important attractions of this travel destination.
