About Chittorgarh

Chittorgarh is regarded as an interesting symbol of Rajput chivalry, resistance, and bravery. The mighty fortress is around 175 kilometers east of Udaipur. It is believed to be named after the person who built it, Chitrangada Mori. The fort is one of the largest ones in India, located on a 180-meter-high hill rising on the banks of the river Berach.

The historic fortress encloses many forts, namely Padan Gate, Ganesh Gate, Hanuman Gate, Bhairon Gate, Jodla Gate, Lakshman Gate, and the main is Hanuman Gate. Places to see in Chittorgarh are Chittorgarh Fort, Padmini Palace, Kalika Mata Temple, Gau Mukh Kund, Maha Sati, and Rana Kumbha’s palace.
