Ahmedabad – Haridwar – Barkot – Yamunotri – Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Haridwar – Ahmedabad
Starts From
The journey begins from Ahmedabad, where you may choose to travel by flight/train/taxi to reach Haridwar. As you reach there, complete the check-in formalities, and relax. The remaining day will be at leisure. Stay overnight in Haridwar.
After a refreshing breakfast in Haridwar, embark on a scenic drive towards Barkot – a beautiful hill station nestled amid the Garhwal Himalayas. Check into your pre-booked hotel and spend the evening at leisure while enjoying the serene mountain views. Stay overnight.
Wake up early for an exciting journey to Yamunotri – the source of the mighty Yamuna River. Since Yamunotri lies at a higher altitude, ponies or palanquins are available for those who would find the uphill climb challenging. Take part in the traditional holy dip in the kund and attend the religious aarti ceremony at Yamunotri Temple. After a fulfilling experience, return to Barkot for a relaxing night stay.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and scenic drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi, another significant Hindu pilgrimage town. The Vishwanath Temple is one of the historic temples, where you can experience the rich cultural heritage. Stay overnight in Uttarkashi.
Gear up for another enthralling expedition, it is the time to Gangotri – the origin of the sacred Ganges River. Like Yamunotri, consider hiring a pony or palanquin if needed for the uphill climb. Visit the Gangotri temple to seek blessings and carry out the traditional rituals. Stay overnight in Uttarkashi.
Travel to the scenic village of Guptkashi, which is usually the starting point for the Kedarnath Trek. You could spend the night in Guptkashi before starting the trek. After worshipping the famous Kedarnath Temple, you may spend the night in Guptkashi.
Set out for a healthy morning breakfast and the most fruitful end of the Chardham yatra. The Kedarnath Temple is one of Lord Shiva’s 12 jyotirlingas, where you can spend your great time. Return to Guptkashi, and take a scenic journey home. Board a flight back to Ahmedabad for a hometown journey.
Answer: For a seamless Chardham yatra journey, the optimal approach would be to hire a flight and reach Dehradun. Post reaching there, you may go ahead with a taxi rental service.
Answer: There are no direct flights to Chardham, but the nearest airport is Jolly Airport in Dehradun, this will be the quickest mode for undertaking the Chardham yatra.
Answer: May to June and September to November are considered the most favourable times to plan the trip.
Answer: The recommended duration for Chardham is typically around 11 days, allowing enough time to visit the sacred shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

It was a good location however the cocoon concept was weird. No tables, chairs etc was difficult as everything went on the floor.
