Taj Mahal – The crowning jewel of Agra and undoubtedly one of the most magnificent structures ever built, the Taj Mahal needs no introduction. The white marble mausoleum was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife Mumtaz Mahal. Plan a sunrise visit to witness the monument soaked in the golden hues of the rising sun.
Agra Fort – A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Agra Fort also known as Red Fort, served as a magnificent Mughal residence until 1638 when the capital was shifted to Delhi. The sprawling fort houses several significant structures like Jahangir Mahal, and Macchi Bhawan.
Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah – Often considered the Baby Taj, due to the similarities in design and architecture to the Taj Mahal. The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, is a Mughal mausoleum built by empress Nur Jahan in the memory of her father. The intricately decorated tomb shows beautiful floral inlay work and lattice screens.
Mehtab Bagh – For a unique perspective of the Taj Mahal, head to Mehtab Bagh, also known as the Moonlight Garden. The Mughal-era gardens on the banks of the Yamuna River offer a serene and picturesque setting to view the Taj Mahal across the river, especially during sunset.
October to March: The best time to visit Agra is during the winter season. The weather is cool and comfortable, with average temperatures ranging from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius. It makes sightseeing much more enjoyable, especially outdoors at the Taj Mahal.
April to June: Temperatures soar during this time, often exceeding 40 degree Celsius. The heat and humidity can be oppressive, making sightseeing uncomfortable. If you can handle the heat, you’ll be rewarded with fewer crowds and lower prices.
July to September: If you don’t mind the rain, the monsoon season can be a good time to visit Agra. The crowds are smaller and the city takes on a lush green appearance.
By Air – Agra has its airport, Kheria Airport is located about 12 kilometers outside the city center. Many domestic airlines operate regular flights to Agra from major cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata.
By Train – Agra is well-connected to major Indian cities by train. It is a famous and budget-friendly option, with several trains running daily between Agra and other cities. Agra has two main railway stations Agra Cantt and Agra Fort.
By Road – Agra is located along major National Highways, making it easily accessible by road. One can take a public bus, or taxi, or rent a car to drive to Agra.

It was a good location however the cocoon concept was weird. No tables, chairs etc was difficult as everything went on the floor.
